About Course

The Grade 2 curriculum is designed to strengthen foundational skills while introducing more complex concepts across key subjects. Students build on their reading, writing, and math abilities, develop scientific curiosity through hands-on exploration, and begin to understand community, history, and geography. Lessons are interactive, encouraging problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.

Course Content

English
Focuses on grammar, punctuation, and spelling, with an emphasis on sentence structure, paragraph writing, and creative storytelling.

  • ENGLISH

Math
Covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division concepts, along with place value, measurement, and basic geometry.

Science
Introduces life science (plants, animals, ecosystems), earth science (weather, seasons, landforms), and physical science (matter, energy).

Social Studies/History
Explores local and national history, basic geography, and the roles of community helpers and leaders.

Reading
Builds fluency through longer passages, introduces chapter books, and develops skills in identifying main ideas, sequencing, and drawing conclusions.
