about us

knowledge to change the world
My name is Robert Rumfelt, and I’ve spent the past 30 years immersed in the world of training—starting in the U.S. Navy, where I first developed a passion for clear, practical instruction that truly prepares people for the real world. That passion carried me through an extensive career across high-stakes industries including nuclear power, medical devices, and aerospace, where I led workforce development and training initiatives for thousands of employees. I’ve served as a training manager, curriculum developer, and project lead, introducing cutting-edge solutions like virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) into technical training programs long before they were mainstream.
But my most personal and rewarding experience has been at home. Since 1995, my wife Debbie and I have homeschooled all 10 of our children.

This journey gave us a deep, firsthand understanding of the financial and practical challenges homeschooling families face. We’ve seen the sky-high costs, the gaps in content, and the way many curriculums either talk down to learners or avoid important traditional values. We knew there had to be a better way.

So, drawing on both my professional and personal background, I created a complete K–12 curriculum—one that’s affordable, comprehensive, and grounded in real-world learning. It covers 13 subjects per grade, designed to develop well-rounded students without the fluff, the politics, or the excessive price tags. And now, we’re expanding even further by adding full preschool curriculum for ages 2 through 5, so families can begin their learning journey even earlier with confidence and clarity.

In August 2025, we launched K-12.online as a Beta version to give families a chance to test it at a steep discount while providing us feedback to refine and improve it further. K-12.online is built with busy parents in mind—fully scripted, ready to use, and rooted in traditional values.

With only one child left in our homeschool and 14 grandchildren (and counting!), we’re more committed than ever to making high-quality education accessible to everyday families.

We now live near Auburn, Alabama, where our growing family continues to be both our joy and inspiration.
