About Course

Grade 4 builds on the foundation of earlier years, encouraging students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and express themselves with confidence. The curriculum deepens their understanding of core subjects while introducing more complex skills in reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, scientific observation, and global awareness. Students also develop better study habits, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities to prepare them for upper primary education

What Will You Learn?

  • Read and analyze longer fiction and informational texts with improved comprehension.
  • Write organized multi-paragraph pieces: narrative, informative, and opinion.
  • Solve multi-step math problems involving multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
  • Plan and carry out simple science investigations; record and explain results.
  • Locate and describe places on maps; understand historical events and civic ideas.
  • Use evidence to support ideas in speaking and writing.

Course Content

English
Enhancing grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing through longer texts, stories, and structured essays.

  • ENGLISH

Math
Develops fluency with multiplication and division facts, deepens place-value understanding, introduces basic fractions and measurement, and practices solving one- and two-step word problems.

SCIENCE
Emphasizes inquiry and hands-on learning—life science (ecosystems, plant/animal life cycles), earth science (weather, rocks/soil), and physical science basics (forces, simple machines), with simple experiments and observation logs.

Social Studies / History
Explores communities, local history, basic civics, map skills (directions, simple coordinates), cultural traditions, and how people and places have changed over time.

Reading
Strengthens reading fluency and comprehension with a mix of chapter books, short novels, poetry, and informational texts. Lessons focus on identifying main ideas, making inferences, comparing texts, and using context to determine word meaning.
